Scudder and Collier Slam Hall and Patrick
High Dollar Fundraiser Excludes Oridnary Texans

DALLAS, TX - TODAY, September 12, Democratic Texas Senate Candidate (District 2) Kendall Scudder and Lt. Governor Nominee, Mike Collier blast Senator Bob Hall and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick for avoiding Texas voters, and instead, holding a high-dollar fundraiser that most constituents could never afford to attend.

For the entirety of the 2018 election season, Lt. Governor Patrick has avoided doing any public events. Senator Hall also has steered clear of holding public events where his constituents can speak with him.

Per Scudder, “It’s always a pleasure to hold free joint public education forums with Mike Collier all around my district! In fact, it’s our number one priority. Our opponents, who haven’t been seen in public forums in over a year, are in the district tonight, asking voters for $10,000 to attend their fancy private dinner! Families like mine could never afford that to meet with their senator. Who knows what made up issues they’ll discuss—bathroom police, school vouchers, electromagnetic space waves?”

Per Collier, "It should not cost thousands of dollars to get a few minutes in front of the Lt. Governor or local state Senator. As Texas’ most powerful politician, it’s absurd that Dan Patrick refuses to face voters in a setting that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to get in the door. Meanwhile, I am out with folks like Kendall Scudder talking to Texans about the issues that matters most."
